Stones of Surrender: A Holy Moment in the Heart of Texas

From devastation to hope — a day of worship, prayer, and prophetic declaration

On September 6th in Brady, Texas — the geographic heart of our state — something powerful happened. People from across Texas gathered, each bringing a stone from their own region. These stones were more than rocks; they became symbols of remembrance — a testimony that out of devastation and hardship, God is raising up hope and new life. Just as in Joshua 4, when the Israelites set up stones of remembrance so future generations would know what the Lord had done, these stones now stand as a marker of God’s faithfulness in Texas. During this gathering, URA was also recognized as a Compassionate Care Organization, honoring the call to meet both physical and spiritual needs.

First worship moment

As the altar began to take shape, the atmosphere shifted. What started as an act of obedience became a holy moment of remembrance and renewal. Worship and prayer filled the air all day long, as hearts were lifted before the Lord. This was not only about looking back on what was lost, but declaring prophetically that Texas is stepping into an accelerated season of harvest. We believe God is fulfilling His word in Isaiah 61 — to bring beauty from ashes, joy for mourning, and praise for despair.

Throughout the day, children of all ages stepped forward with boldness — praying, prophesying, and speaking life over the land and the people. Their voices carried a purity and power that reminded us: God is raising up a generation that will not be silent, but will stand as a beacon of hope and revival.

Isaiah 61:3 — "To all who mourn in Zion, He will give a crown of beauty for ashes, a joyous blessing instead of mourning, festive praise instead of despair."

Revival starts with surrender, and unity is the foundation of the harvest to come.

This was not just an event. It was a prophetic act — a moment where heaven touched earth. We believe this is only the beginning of what God is doing across Texas. The altar in Brady stands as a reminder: even in the wake of devastation, God restores, God heals, and God builds. From the heart of Texas, hope is rising, and His kingdom is advancing.
