TRANSFORMATION IMPACT STORIES

ESCUINTLA COMMUNITY CENTER | GUATEMALA

Immediately following the 2019 eruption of Volcan Fuego in Guatemala, URA partnered with various non-profits, businesses, and representatives of Israel to help create a community center in Escuintla “The New Jerusalem”. 

This community center will serve as a training facility for many different fields of interest including spiritual emotional care, disaster response, medical training, agriculture sustainability, etc.

SUMAC WATER PROJECT | GUATEMALA

Immediately following the landfall of Hurricanes Eta and Iota, URA served in the affected communities of  Coban and Sumac. These communities are home to many farmers who sustained damage from high winds, flooding, and mudslides. One community that we became close with lost the piping structure due to mudslides and thus preventing the community from receiving clean water. This was vital to the community not only for health reasons, but for their coffee crops that were ready to harvest. Our teams assisted with rebuilding this piping structure and are continuing to partner with the leaders to train and equip families.
