Join the Movement

A United Rescue Alliance Learn & Connect is a simple, 60-minute gathering hosted in a home, church, life group, or community space. It’s designed to introduce people to United Rescue Alliance—who we are, what we do, and how they can be part of bringing hope before, during, and after disasters.

During an Learn & Connect guests will:

  • Hear the heart and mission of URA

  • Watch a short video that highlights real stories of impact

  • Learn practical ways to get involved: Pray, Share, Give, Go

Learn & Connect events work well for small groups, friends, or community groups who want to learn how they can help their neighbors and the nations to build resilient communities through preparedness.

We do this through three pillars:

  • Prepare – Training and equipping sustainable leaders in emergency management so communities are ready before disaster strikes.

  • Respond – Providing relational relief in times of crisis, caring for physical, mental, emotional, social, and spiritual needs.

  • Transform – Walking with communities long-term, creating sustainable solutions, economic opportunities, and spiritual futures.

Your Learn & Connect is designed to be simple, relational, and empowering. Here’s a typical flow talking points.

WHAT HAPPENS AT AN LEARN & CONNECT?

    • Host welcomes everyone and introduces URA briefly.

    • Optional: quick snack/coffee, everyone settles in.

    • Share URA’s mission and vision: uniting, equipping, and mobilizing people to save lives and create lasting change.

    • Explain the Prepare, Respond, Transform pillars with 1–2 concrete examples (tornado response, Guatemala community center, CERT training, etc.).

    • Show a short impact video or slideshow of photos.

    • Share 1–2 stories that highlight “THE ONE” — how one life, one family, or one community was transformed through URA and its partners

  • Briefly explain tangible ways guests can respond:

    • Pray – Commit to praying for URA teams and communities.

    • Host – Invite URA to more homes, churches, or groups.

    • Go – Join a trip to Guatemala, U.S, or a local serve opportunity

    • Give – Become a monthly donor or give a one-time gift to equip teams before, during, and after disasters.

  • We’d love for you to ask questions, stay connected, and consider how God might be inviting you to stand with families facing crisis.

WHY HOST AN LEARN & CONNECT?

How Hosting a Learn & Connect Works

Step 1 – Sign Up to Host
Fill out the form with your name, contact info, and preferred date/time. Our team will follow up to confirm the details and answer any questions.

Step 2 – Get Your Host Kit
We’ll provide:

  • A simple host guide and talking points (2–3 pages)

  • A short video or slide deck with impact stories

  • A sample schedule and invitation text you can send to your guests

  • Recieve printable interest cards or QR codes for sign-ups and giving

Step 3 – Host Your Learn & Connect
Open your home or gathering space, follow the simple flow, and let URA’s story do the work. We’ll be available to join live or by video when possible, or you can host using the materials we provide.

  • A: The core content is designed for about 60 minutes, but you can add time for connection, dessert, or discussion as needed.

  • A: Not at all. We provide simple talking points, a video, and a clear flow. You’re just creating a welcoming space. A URA Represenative will be available live in person or virtually to help present the information.

  • A: There is no cost to host a Learn & Connect. Some hosts choose to provide snacks or dessert for their guests

  • A: Learn & Connect Events are about sharing stories and inviting partnership, not pressure. Guests will be given clear ways to pray, serve, and give, but no one is obligated.
