Hope in Action: Continuing the Work in Kerrville

Kerrville Deployment
August 18–26, 2025 • Kerr County, Texas
Getting Settled
The URA team left Abilene and made their way to Boerne to set up a base camp. Once housing was prepared, supplies gathered, and everyone settled in, the day closed with a meal together, worship, and a time of prayer. It was the beginning of a week where God’s presence was felt from the very first night.

Preparing the Way
The day was filled with practical acts of service—building beds, stocking groceries, and preparing the VRBO for our IRIS Global partners. In the evening, what began as a community BBQ turned into a beautiful time of fellowship, worship, and unity between teams and local families.

Training & Prayer
Our URA and IRIS teams gathered for Just In Time training, equipping us for the work ahead. Later, we traveled to The Coming King Foundation where we stood at the foot of the cross, praying over the city and families we came to serve. It was a day of preparation, both practically and spiritually.
Into the Field
Teams entered the Bumble Bee Hills community and began clearing debris, removing fallen trees, and carrying out damaged belongings. More than just the physical work, we listened to stories, prayed with families, and saw hope return as visible progress was made. The day ended with fellowship around the dinner table, sharing what God had done.

Joy in the Middle
The morning was spent in worship and ministry together, strengthening hearts before returning to the field. At Impact Church, the team celebrated young Miles’ birthday — a powerful reminder that joy and community still have a place even in the midst of rebuilding. The day closed with worship and fellowship.

Logistics as Love
At Redemption Mills Warehouse, the team organized supplies, built hygiene and cleaning buckets, and loaded appliances for families in need. Later, some joined Somebody Cares to prime a home while others continued clearing debris at Johnny’s land. Every task, big or small, was done as an act of love and service.

Breathe, Worship & Speak Life
Sunday was set aside as a Sabbath. Teams gathered for worship with Fireworks Church and spent the rest of the day resting and being refreshed. It was a time to pause, breathe, and allow God to restore strength for the week ahead.
Wrap & Hand Off
With the IRIS team departing, URA cleaned and reset all housing locations, preparing them for the next group of responders. After a week of service and worship, the team returned home carrying testimonies of what God had done in Kerrville.
Keep the momentum going. Your prayer, serving, and generosity fuel impact in Kerr County and beyond.
