November News and Updates

FIRM

This month, Angel Poorman and URA board members had the opportunity to attend an event hosted by FIRM (Fellowship of Israel Related Ministries). The event was an opportunity for individuals to share stories and experiences from their time in Israel during the war, and for like-minded organizations to come together to identify ways that they can continue to support Israel. For United Rescue Alliance, it was also an opportunity to see how the team can partner together with other organizations that work with Israel.

Guatemala

This month in Guatemala, the team did a medical outreach in Jocotillo where they provided over 1,500 medical and dental consultations! Also in Jocotillo, the Guatemala team hosted a childrens outreach for 300 children where they distributed toys and snacks donated by a partner organization called LEAD, and Lechem bread to combat malnutrition. Finally, they hosted a first aid training for the Fraijanes municipality where over 60 volunteers were activated!

Homeland Security

In November, Angel Poorman, URA Founder and CEO, spoke at a Homeland Security meeting to share United Rescue Alliances mission and vision, and current trainings that are offered. This is was an excellent opportunity to make connections with other organizations in the area, and share about what URA is doing!
