01 Response
Delivering Hope to Kerrville Families
A story of long-term recovery, trusted partnerships, and practical resources moving into the hands of families rebuilding after disaster.
Nearly one year after the devastating July 4, 2025 floods, United Rescue Alliance returned to the Texas Hill Country with a continued commitment to long-term recovery. While emergency response may have concluded, the work of restoration continues, and so does our commitment to stand alongside the communities we serve.
On June 23–25, our team prepared, transported, and distributed critical household resources to support families still rebuilding their homes and lives. Working alongside Good360, Global Empowerment Mission, Light on the Hill, The Coming King Foundation, Amazon, U-Haul, and other local organizations, URA helped ensure recovery resources reached the families who needed them most.
Before the team left Abilene, resources were loaded, logistics were coordinated, and equipment was staged for transport. On the ground, the team worked with partners at the GEM Warehouse in Comfort before traveling to Light on the Hill in Kerrville, where resources were organized for distribution to 25 families.
Every deployment reflects URA’s whole-person approach. Alongside logistics and resource distribution, the team made room to listen, encourage, pray with families, document impact stories, and strengthen relationships with local leaders.
June 23–25 Response Highlights
Hundreds of household recovery items, including appliances, mattresses, home repair materials, kitchen essentials, linens, infant supplies, and everyday necessities, were positioned to help families rebuild with dignity and hope.
Every item distributed represents dignity, comfort, and hope for families rebuilding after disaster.
Looking Ahead
Hill Country Flood Memorial Dedication
As the one-year anniversary of the July 4, 2025 floods approached, United Rescue Alliance was honored to partner with The Coming King Foundation for the Hill Country Flood Memorial Dedication in Kerrville.
This gathering created space for families, community members, first responders, and partners to remember those impacted by the floods, honor the resilience of the Hill Country community, and continue walking together toward healing and restoration.
02 Partnership
Partnerships Moving Hope Forward
Trusted relationships turn donated goods, shared expertise, and strong logistics into practical support for families and communities.
Amazon + URA
Partnership in Action
+
On June 4, Amber represented URA during an interview with Amazon highlighting how the partnership supports disaster response and long-term recovery, especially in Kerrville.
Donated goods, logistics support, and trusted community relationships become real household stability for families. Through partnerships like these, generosity becomes practical support, dignity, and hope.
Resource Stewardship
Strengthening Communities
Throughout June, Chike served as an important staging and warehouse hub as URA prepared donated resources for distribution across West Texas.
Through Good360, URA received 45 mattresses and bedframes from Mattress Firm for recovery efforts in San Angelo. URA also provided 48 king mattresses and four full mattresses to Love & Care Ministries to help serve families in Abilene.
By equipping trusted local partners, resources move through strong relationships to meet disaster-related and ongoing community needs throughout the region.
03 Preparedness
Strengthening Regional Preparedness
In June, URA welcomed Hendrick Health emergency preparedness leaders to Camp Barkeley for a day of learning, relationship building, and exploring future collaboration.
Hendrick Health’s emergency preparedness team helps maintain continuity of operations across 21 hospitals serving 24 counties. During the visit, URA shared the Learn & Connect presentation, MESSH resources, response capabilities, volunteer opportunities, and training pathways.
Future opportunities include leadership retreats, MESSH training for nurses, volunteer engagement, CERT readiness, and continued conversations around disaster sheltering and patient transportation.
04 Spiritual Formation
Prayer, Unity, and Transformation
June 7 • Camp Barkeley
Standing with Israel
URA was honored to host Sharon Saunders for an evening of worship, prayer, and ministry. People from across the region gathered in unity to seek the Lord, receive encouragement, and stand with Israel.

June 15 • Regional Prayer & Unity
One Kingdom
Intercessors, pastors, ministry leaders, and believers gathered for the inaugural One Kingdom Intercession gathering. The evening created space for worship, prayer, listening, and unity across the Body of Christ.
Guided prayer cycles focused on the nation, the city, the church, and the family. Creative listening stations, prophetic art, and reflection invited attendees to hear God’s heart for the region.
One Kingdom reflects a growing desire for unity among churches and ministries throughout West Texas and the belief that transformation often begins in prayer.
Camp Barkeley Updates
Creating Space for Connection
Strengthening the Guest Experience
New signage was installed throughout Camp Barkeley in partnership with SignTex, creating a more welcoming and navigable environment for guests, volunteers, training participants, and partners.
As Camp Barkeley grows as a hub for training, disaster preparedness, spiritual formation, and community engagement, these improvements support hospitality, safety, and the overall guest experience.
Every improvement made at Camp Barkeley creates more space for hope, connection, and transformation.
June 16 • Radio Communications
Communication Before Disaster Strikes
URA team members attended training provided by the Texas Department of Public Safety alongside representatives from TDEM, the Council of Governments, local entities, and public safety communications leaders.
The team learned more about emergency communications systems and tools such as TAK, a map-based platform that shows responder locations, and B4PS, a text-based system that helps response teams communicate during incidents.
One encouraging outcome was the opportunity to continue planning for a future simulation focused on direct agency communication when traditional systems are down.
05 International Update
Hope in Motion Across Guatemala
June was a month of preparation and outreach as URA continued strengthening relationships and serving communities across Guatemala.
June Impact in Guatemala
On June 24, the team traveled to Jocotillo to scout locations for a future well project and continue planning for the upcoming NGO Congress. The team also provided MannaPack meals, clothing, and a bicycle to Sucely through partnerships with The Moore Center and Semilla de Fe Church.
URA partnered with the Fraijanes Municipality to conduct outreach across Fraijanes, Los Verdes, El Cerrito, Puerta del Señor, and Lo de Dieguez, distributing MannaPack meals and resources while building long-term relationships throughout the region.
June also served as an important preparation month for the July Guatemala Transformation Trip as teams finalized logistics, supplies, volunteer coordination, and spiritual preparation.
