URA Featured in Amazon’s Impact Report

This year, Amazon featured URA in their global Impact Report—spotlighting the powerful story of Johnny McAshan and his family in the Bumblebee community of Kerrville.

After the July floods devastated his property, URA responders walked the land with Johnny, hearing stories of his grandmother’s legacy and the deep roots his family has carried for generations.

Amazon recognized this story because it represents what your generosity makes possible: showing up for families in their hardest moments, restoring what was lost, and preserving a legacy of hope for the next generation.

URA + Good360: Bringing Hope One Bed at a Time

As a response organization, we see firsthand how difficult it is for families to rebuild after crisis. This month, thanks to our partners at Good360, we were able to place brand-new mattresses into the homes of families who lost nearly everything.

These mattresses were intentional gifts of dignity, comfort, and restoration.

ACU Nonprofit Internship Fair

At ACU, our URA team had the opportunity to share our mission, vision, and the heart behind what we do. As we introduced students to opportunities such as the Ambassadors of Hope Internship, local outreach, deployments, and global missions, they were eager to learn how their strengths could make a real impact.

Many students asked thoughtful questions about volunteering, leadership development, and how they could step into serving both locally and abroad. Their excitement and willingness to be part of something bigger reminded us that the next generation is ready to rise—and URA is honored to walk alongside them as they discover their calling.

Cisco Student Resource Fair

At Cisco, our URA team had the opportunity to share our mission, vision, and the many ways students can get involved in serving their communities. As we talked about local outreach, leadership development, critical care response, and global missions, students leaned in with genuine interest and curiosity.

Many expressed a desire to make a difference and asked practical questions about volunteering, joining deployments, and participating in the Ambassadors of Hope Internship. It was clear that students are looking for meaningful ways to serve, and URA is excited to help them take their next step.

Mission Thanksgiving

This year for Mission Thanksgiving, our URA team joined with the Love and Care Ministries community to serve our neighbors experiencing homelessness. Our team volunteered by collecting clothing, jackets, shoes, and essential items to help families and individuals prepare for the colder months.

After working on-site at the Mission Thanksgiving event, our team returned to the Love & Care warehouse where we sorted canned goods and organized donated food items. These supplies will be used by Love and Care throughout the season to support families in crisis. Your support is what makes this kind of impact possible.

A Global Voice Meets Local Mission

This month we welcomed Avi Zimmerman to URA to record a powerful podcast conversation on faith, leadership, and community transformation through giving.

Avi is an Amazon best-selling author of Kosher Giving and the Founder & CEO of Sector4 Strategy, where he leads philanthropic strategy, economic development, and mission-driven investment initiatives around the world.

As we shared the mission, vision, and what it looks like to give from URA's perspective, the conversation centered on what it truly means to give with purpose—intentionally, mindfully, and measurably.
