TLCA Leadership

United Rescue Alliance had the honor of attending Leadership Day at Texas Leadership Charter Academy in Abilene. The event was a showcase of the students’ growth and development as they shared what they’ve learned and demonstrated the leadership principles that guide their education. It was an inspiring day filled with energy, excellence, and a clear vision for the next generation of leaders.

Good 360 - MESSH Presentation

We’re excited to share that United Rescue Alliance CEO, Angel Poorman, recently introduced the Mental, Emotional, Social, and Spiritual Health (MESSH) curriculum to our longtime partners at Good360. This meaningful moment marks the beginning of a new chapter in our collaboration—one focused on integrating MESSH into their work to further support holistic care and community well-being. We are deeply thankful for the strong, enduring relationship we’ve built with Good360 over the years. As we move forward together, we’re confident that this partnership will continue to spark lasting impact in the lives of those we serve around the world.

Shoe Delivery

United Rescue Alliance is honored to partner with multiple organizations this month to distribute shoes to those in need. These shipments are more than supplies—they're tools of dignity, hope, and opportunity. As these resources leave our warehouse and reach the feet of children and families, they carry the heart of our mission: to respond, restore, and rebuild. We look forward to sharing the powerful impact of this outreach in the weeks ahead.

URA Guatemala

In April, our Guatemalan team came together for a powerful time of team development, focusing on strengthening collaboration, communication, and shared vision. Through a series of workshops, activities, and intentional discussions, the team deepened their connection and refined their strategies to better serve communities in need. This time of growth not only equipped them with valuable tools for the field but also renewed their sense of unity and purpose as they continue their mission together.

Dr. Brenda and family Visits Texas

Dr. Brenda and her family visited Texas for a fun and refreshing getaway, offering a valuable chance to step away from the demands of daily life and reconnect as a family. During their visit, Dr. Brenda was also able to attended two impactful events: the Beltway Women’s Released Conference and the UPPERROOM Pastor Conference.

Beltway Women’s Released Conference

The ladies of United Rescue Alliance had the amazing opportunity to attend the Beltway Women’s Released Conference! It was a powerful time of refreshment and connection as the team listened to inspiring speakers share about God’s design for our lives and spent meaningful time in fellowship. The conference not only strengthened our personal walks with the Lord but also deepened our bond as a team. We’re so thankful for the chance to pause, be poured into, and return encouraged for the mission God has set before us.

UpperRoom Pastors Conference

Angel Poorman and Dr. Brenda Zamora recently attended The Upperroom Pastors Conference in Dallas, a gathering designed to equip pastors and ministry leaders to prioritize God’s presence through intentional prayer and worship. Organized by UPPERROOM, the conference provided practical resources and training focused on establishing and sustaining environments where Jesus is hosted and lives are transformed. They returned encouraged and equipped with renewed vision to help build praying communities and foster God’s presence in every area of ministry.

Passover Dinner

In honor of Passover, United Rescue Alliance hosted a special Passover dinner for our team, valued partners, and friends. The evening was a meaningful time of reflection and community, as we gathered to remember God’s faithfulness in protecting His people and delivering them from slavery in Egypt. As Passover holds deep significance in the Christian faith, the dinner served as a reminder of God’s enduring promises, His blessings in our lives, and the importance of walking together in unity and purpose.
