We exist to unite, equip, and mobilize specialty trained teams to save lives and give hope in times of crisis and natural disasters.

MISSION

United Rescue Alliance is an international disaster and crisis response organization dedicated to equipping and training sustainable leaders in emergency management to empower communities in the areas of disaster preparedness, response and transformation. We value community resiliency through restoration; creating sustainable solutions through innovation.

CURRENT ACTIVITIES

Tel Aviv University Course - Israel

URA traveled to Tel Aviv, Israel to teach a summer course called Public Health Consequences of Disasters Addressed Through MESSH Response to 31 international masters students from Tel Aviv University. During the course, students learned about whole community disaster preparedness and URA’s response framework: MESSH (Mental, Emotional, Social, and Spiritual Health), disaster medical operations, public health consequences during disasters, and incident command structure in disasters. All of these topics came together to give students a complete picture of MESSH focused disaster response specific to public health.

DEPLOYMENT UPDATES

Houston flooding - TX

Early in May 2024, Houston and the surrounding areas like Conroe, Huntsville, and Humble had severe flooding that caused significant property and infrastructure damage. United Rescue Alliance was invited by Disaster Aid USA to serve alongside partners in Houston, Texas assisting in debris removal and reconstructed damaged homes.

jackson Tornadoes - MS

Severe storms moved in to Jackson, Mississippi. A tornado tore through the campus of We Will Go Ministries, a longstanding partner of URA. The URA team spent a week in Mississippi removing debris from the site, reconstructing the destroyed hoop house, and removing a fallen pecan tree.

MESQUITE HEAT WILDFIRE - TX

The Mesquite Heat Fire began on May 17 and continued for 12 days, causing damage to 30 homes, farms, and ranches in South Taylor County, Texas. URA was appointed as the case managing agency.

EASTLAND COMPLEX WILDFIRE - TX

Our teams are continuing to serve the communities affected by the Eastland Complex Wildfires from March of 2022. The fires burned more than 50,000 acres of land, destroyed more than 80 homes. URA was appointed as the case managing agency.

MIDWEST TORNADOES - TN

It was the deadliest U.S. tornado outbreak in a decade, and one single storm complex tracked for some 250 miles. Meteorologists had confirmed at least 37 tornadoes were in progress during the outbreak Friday night into Saturday morning. URA responded by assisting in debris removal and resource distribution.

FOOD DISTRIBUTION - POLAND

Our team partnered with several organizations to send nutritionally fortified food overseas, providing much needed vitamins to help people stay healthier in less-than-ideal conditions such as the close quarters of refugee camps.
